Beating Work Stress with Pomodoro or Sprints

We can all agree that work can be get very stressful. Stress is basically loss of energy, so everytime someone tells me I am stressed. I tell them, “May God give you strength.”

Strength = Energy

What is Pomodoro?

Pomodoro is basically sprint timer. When you work, you start a timer for 25 mins. There are many apps out there my favroties are sessions and centered.

The basic premise behind working in sprint is the following

There is nothing like overnight successes, you just cannot do everything you want to acheive in in one go. You need to chip at it or build it brick by brick.

A pomodoro is one such brick of time. It is usually 25 mins, followed by 5 mins rest and again 25 mins followed by 30 mins of rest. These time intervals are all variables and you are free to alter it as much as you want.

What causes stress?

Stress is basically caused by holding a pile of bricks for a long time. Holding it for 25 mins is fine, you are strong man, but holding for 3 hours straight will cause some serious damge man.

So I advice you to develop the habit of breaking down your important projects tasks into chunks and reduce that stress.
